Nothing brings people together, like good food!

Middelburg Wine & Dine hosted by Middelburg Information Center.

 

The past couple of months has been tough on us all, not being able to see each other or touch our loved once. We have been living in isolation, and this is something that might have given us a bit more appreciation for the smaller things in life!

One of the things I have missed was going out to a restaurant, and this has led me to explore a bit more in the kitchen. I believe that some of you experienced the same thing? Now is your chance to show off what your food experiments! The Middelburg Information Center has launched our first-ever Wine and Dine competition. All you need to do to enter is create a 5 min video showing us how you prepare the dish you love the most. The video will then be uploaded on our Facebook page during October, November and December. A small R250 entry fee is required.

Do not waste time if you want to enter, as we will have weekly prizes for those entering! For example, during October, the Middelburg Information Center wants to spoil someone with an R500 Ninfa voucher. If you have been planning to start a herb garden, this voucher will surely come in handy. There is also a voucher for two people to enjoy breakfast and coffee at the Daily Coffee Café because we are all about creating memories with loved ones. Then a 1-litre double-wall stainless steel hot or cold Flask sponsored by Barloworld Toyota and the last draw will be for a tablet sponsored by First Technology.

For the October competition entries, will stand a chance to win an aeroplane ride over the town of Middelburg! The month of November and December holds its exiting gifts. In January our 16 semi-finalists will be made public and asked to host and cook for each other at Alveston Manor here in Middelburg, in groups of four people. They will also judge one another and reveal the best host or hostess between them. The four candidates remaining will each receive an R1 000,00 Midwater Superspar voucher, and a weekend away that will be determined by the place they receive in the competition.
