The Middelburg Tourist Information Centre has put up brown tourist road signs at the borders of Middelburg.
There are seven colours that are commonly used for road signs. Brown-coloured road signs indicate nearby recreational and cultural sites. A sign pointing to a nearby nature reserve park is an example of a road sign with a brown background. It also shows the route or road number, such as R555, the distance to the facility and what that facility offers. It is not a billboard with social media logos on the sign. The purpose is to inform the tourist about what to expect and where the facility is located.
There are many tourism symbols, many have been used in the past during the World Cup and the Sustainability Conference. Where, why and what is important for a tourist visiting our city. For more information, contact Charlene at info@middelburgchamber.com.
