On 6 August 2025, the Middelburg Tourist Information Center and Middelburg Chamber of Commerce, in proud partnership with WeWild Africa, hosted the unforgettable Loskop to Olifants Tourism Meeting at the stunning Loskop Nature Reserve. The meeting, chaired by Johannes Welgemoed, was no ordinary event – it marked the start of something truly exciting.
The big announcement? Middelburg, Mpumalanga, is gearing up to bring the Big 5 experience to town. With passionate tourism role-players, local champions, and game changers in one room, ideas were shared, collaborations were formed, and the vision for our region’s eco-tourism future grew stronger. Guests then went on a thrilling game drive through Loskop Nature Reserve, experiencing breathtaking scenery and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
Middelburg is no longer just on the map — we are fast becoming the destination. A huge thank you to Loskop Nature Reserve and WeWild Africa for making this possible.
