What does the local manufacturers need? How can we attract the necessary investors? The MCCI’s members have invested their money and their future in Middelburg. MCCI’s industrial members are looking for opportunities to grow and sustain their business’ future.
Since the first time the Just Energy Transition (JET) was mentioned, it was unclear how to mitigate any damage to our economy. The JET project is working towards the closure of several of the coal powered power stations. However, the world has changed, cost of energy has become expensive and other supply and demand shortages also impacted the local and global economy.
MCCI is hosting two workshops on 28 January 2025 and 4 February 2025 to discuss possible opportunities and incentive that can be the turning point for the expansion of our town’s manufacturing and industrial sector.
Bernd Oellermann said, “The workshop is proposed to assist the chamber and related stakeholders in conceptualising development of identified industrial spaces in the region. The workshop is based on the EIP concept and master planning approach and could cover aspects such as business retention and attraction, infrastructure and utilities, risk management, job creation and community development.”
MCCI members will find the solutions to ensure our town’s prosperity.
